1. About the Application

Insumate Mini is a personal assistant designed to help people with diabetes manage daily nutrition calculations. The app can scan food, show estimated nutrition data (carbohydrates, fats, proteins), calculate bread units (BU), and save meals in a local history log.

The app does not provide medical advice and should not replace consultation with a healthcare professional.

2. Data We Collect

If you use Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In), we may collect your email address and Google account ID (if logging in via Google). This information is used solely for account access and authentication.

3. Local Data Storage

Meal history, scanned food results, saved nutritional calculations, and app settings may be stored only on your device and are not sent to external servers. You may delete all stored data by uninstalling the app.

4. Camera Access

The app uses the device camera to allow food scanning. Images are processed in real time and are not saved or shared with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

Firebase Authentication is used for secure login and account verification. We do not use Firebase for analytics, tracking, or marketing purposes.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties and do not use personal data for advertising.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Security

We implement appropriate security measures, including secure authentication via Firebase and encrypted connections where applicable. However, no electronic system is completely secure.
